Sustainability

We are a socially responsible company, and we view sustainability as a key pillar guiding our actions. We believe it is always possible to move toward operations that are more responsible regarding the planet. For this reason, a portion of the energy used by our plants comes from solar panels—an initiative that has enabled us to achieve significant energy savings for over 25 years.

Painting process:

As part of the painting processes applied to the metal structures of products manufactured by Grupo Requiez, wastewater analyses were conducted to evaluate alternatives for process optimization. Consequently, a solution was implemented that reduces chemical consumption and environmental impact while maintaining the same quality and performance standards for the final finish.

Leather vs Plastic:

We repurpose leather offcuts from our upholstery processes as protective material for the internal transport of steel structures between production plants. Through this initiative, we reduce single-use plastic consumption, give new purpose to materials that retain functional value, and strengthen our commitment to the circular economy—all without compromising product protection during manufacturing.

Water-based glue:

In our upholstery processes, we use water-based adhesives as the primary bonding solution for textiles, polyurethane, and other porous materials. This technology ensures excellent adhesion without compromising material quality or properties, while also reducing volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions compared to conventional solvent-based adhesives. In doing so, we help create a safer work environment and lower the environmental impact of our manufacturing processes.

It is an international quality seal that certifies the durability, safety, quality, and origin of products. This document confirms that the products have passed rigorous physical, mechanical, and chemical tests.

It verifies that products have low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. Its goal is to improve indoor air quality by reducing the presence of harmful chemicals in enclosed spaces.

The Forest Stewardship Council guarantees that wood, paper, and derivative products come from forests managed in a manner that is responsible, sustainable, environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable.

It issues certifications to validate the quality, origin, and sustainability of products. Its most common accreditations include the “Italian Furniture Origin” seal and “Product Circularity” certifications.
