Architect and Project Lead

Luisa Battaglia

She graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1987 and began working with the SCAB group in 1990—a partnership that continues to this day—coordinating a team of international designers. She oversees artistic planning and management while handling design, communications, and exhibitions.

Roberto Semprini

Born in Rimini in 1959, he studied architecture in Florence. In 1989, he created the Tatlin sofa for Edra, a product that won the prestigious Top Ten Award in Düsseldorf. Since 2000, he has lived in Rimini, where he opened "RM 12 Art & Design," an art gallery and interior design/architecture studio. In 2010, the Seoul Living Design Fair (Korea) invited him to exhibit "The Italian/Korean House." He currently teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and is a professor of Chiara Fama in the Exterior Design course at the Polytechnic University of Milan. He won the 2017 Golden A' Design Award for the Nemo table project for SCAB Design.

Mark Robson

He was born in Barnet, Hertfordshire, and has lived and worked in France since 1990. He studied at Middlesex University in London and earned a Master’s degree in Furniture Design from the Royal College of Art in London. He has participated in various exhibitions for the Axis Gallery in Tokyo, the International Biennial in Belgium, the Centre Pompidou and the Salon du Meuble in France, and Superstudio Più in Milan. His work is exhibited in several museums, such as the Design Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art in Minneapolis.

Marcelo Ziliani

He is an Italian architect and designer renowned for creating furniture that combines functionality, elegance, and a timeless aesthetic. A graduate of the Polytechnic University of Milan—where he studied under the mentorship of Achille Castiglioni—he has built an extensive career collaborating with some of the most prestigious international design firms, including Infiniti, Scab Design, Calligaris, Ethimo, and Roche Bobois. His projects are distinguished by their attention to detail, the balance between form and comfort, and an approach that prioritizes simplicity as an expression of quality and enduring design.

Marc Sadler

He is an industrial designer internationally recognized for his innovative approach to materials, technology, and manufacturing processes. Born in Austria, a French national based in Milan, he was among the first graduates in Industrial Aesthetics from ENSAD in Paris. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with some of the most important firms in design and industry, developing projects that combine high technical performance with a contemporary aesthetic. A four-time winner of the ADI Compasso d’Oro, his creations reflect a constant pursuit of innovation, functionality, and design excellence.
